Princess Cake Wins the Crown

Before we headed back to Sacramento, we ended our trip by entering Lexi into the Ventura County Gold Coast Beauty Pageant...

This was Lexi's fourth Pageant and she finally won for the first time!...In the past she has placed either 1st or 2nd runner-up but this time was her turn to be the queen! It was very exciting...she wore her new dress that mommy made and her daddy, grandma and her auntie and cousin were there to watch so it made for a very happy day!

While waiting for the awards she took a cat-nap on daddy's lap...We literally had to wake her up when they announced her name as the winner...!

Tiny Miss Ventura County

With the Pageant DJ Priscilla...I have known this girl since she was born...ha! Silly Priscilla...

With Cousin Sophia {who is wanting to do a pageant too!} I tell ya you come to one and you get hooked...

We have decided to move on this year and do the State Pageant held in Costa Mesa, CA...so now we are busy preparing for that...

For State she will need:

5 new modeling outfits complete with a runway modeling routine to go with each one plus music

• Red, White and Blue Wear
• Western Wear
• Costume Wear
• Anything Goes Wear
• Swimwear

A glitzed up pageant dress...working on that right now...{if that dress can be any more glitzed...holy cow I have had to stretch my creativity...}

and lot's of Pictures for the Photo Catergories:

Cover, Superface, Photogenic, Glamour, Me & My Family, Me & My Pet, and Character Centerfold

...And a Portfolio of Five or more Pictures in an album of any sort...so of course scrapbook style for us...

Simi: Part Two

A day to relax after the craziness of Disneyland...more swimming...

Playing with the Valusek cousins...so much fun...{on the couch ready to watch Hannah Montana the Movie}

Lots of fun visiting with family and friends and even got to meet our newest cousin baby 'D' so cute...and had more Red's to finish off our two week vacation in Simi...

Don't worry I haven't forgotten about AdAm LaMbErT...just waiting patiently for his new music that comes out this month {his single} and next month {his album along with 'New Moon'!}

But here is a clip of a new movie called '2012' and Adam Lambert sings the song for it...! It is sweet and if this is a taste of what his music will sound like...then I am hooked! Still, along with 'New Moon' and Adam's album it too will be out in November...ughhhh. hurry up October

'He looks like Caillou' is what Deveon said about this little nugget of mine...ughhh...It was an accident but I was still pretty mad! Honestly he didn't mean to go that short but for now I think he'll wear hats til it grows in a little more...His smile is killer though...

Simi Summer 2009

Part One...

This year our summer trip to Simi was 2 weeks of staying at Josh's parents' house while they vacationed on a Cruise...We house-sat and Josh held down the drug fort at the Pharmacy. Since we just couldn't bear to leave and be without our best friends from here in Elk Grove, we decided to drag them along with us...{if were going down, your going down with us sort of a thing- weird I know} Anyhow, they came and joined us and stayed and played for a week and then we did our mini vacation to Disneyland as our last rah before they headed home and left us to our secret world...Simi Valley {in the 'mountains' as the kids call it-we don't really have'mountains' here in Sacramento}

During our first week we managed to fit all this in...{in between my kiddos throwing up here and there just for fun!}

Bright n Early the next morning {actually it wasn't bright yet} Josh's bro Jared and wifey Shannon came and met us and the bros were off to the start line while Shannon and I were off to wait for them at their 6mile mark and their 11 mile mark to refuel them with water and gatorade...that was fun seeing them thruout the race {thanks Shannon for taking me along and mapping it all out;)}

The Proud Racer and his fans {and Disneyland means big business with those medals they hand out to the runners who finish under 3 hours}

We stayed and played in California Adventure for a while until Josh's poor feet {and Grandpa's} couldn't take any more miles...And we finished off our weekend with dinner at Knott's Berry Farm's Chicken House...{yum, fried chicken and lot's of old memories of the old pageant gang.}

Technical Difficulties

I am back from our 2 week long vacation {if you can call it that} after all the puking but it was mixed with good family fun, cousins, Disneyland, Magic Mountain, beauty pageants, swimming, beach, new friends, old friends and shopping...Love Simi Valley...I have many things to post about so as soon as my laptop comes home we will share many memories with all! {My PC is getting a facelift after losing her letter 'K'} so just another week or two and we will be back on the blogging train...Otherwise see us on Facebook for updates on this crazy little thing called life...

Glitz Pageants: Here We Come

Sew, here's my finished project...Lexi's new Glitz Pageant Dress to compete in...Months ago I bought a simple party/flower girl dress off Ebay for $12.99 thinking it could become a beautiful Pageant Dress for Lexi...well here it is...I used the existing bodice and added ribbon, flowers, sleeves, eyelets for the tie up in the back, feathers, swarovski crystals, and trimmings but since I don't have a ruffler {which is needed to get the cute cupcake style ruffle seam on the skirt} I had the skirt made by a proffessional...Andrea, a close family friend who makes Pageant Dresses for a living {Royalty Designs}
