Deveon is doing well considering his two traumatic experiences with pools in the last few years. He can now go under water completley with 'no hands' as he likes to show us all the time...and is working on swimming by kick~board...He loves the water though ;)
This was Lexi's first swim session and she is doing amazing...She can go under water with no hands, and swims by kick~board all on her own...she loves swimming!
We spent the weekend in the bay area with our friends the Stoeckles...We went to Great America on Friday and then spent Saturday afternoon on the beach in Santa Cruz...
Josh and I have a special place in our hearts for Santa Cruz. It was our little place while waiting for Dalen to join our family...then the craziness began with one kid after another ;)
I think Noah thought 'Hey since that white snow tasted pretty good, why shouldn't this brown sand?'
My good friend Megan is just starting out her photography business venture and I was lucky enough to have her practice on the kids...{after looking at these though you wouldn't think she needs any practice} she has such a great eye and the pictures turn out just amazing! Enjoy!
He is very excited about his birthday even though he is not having a friend party, this age finally marks the age he will be baptized and join cubscouts. He has been looking forward to these two things for a while ;)
Finished my last week teaching preschool...the kids only have 3 more weeks left. It has been so much fun for Lexi and she is looking forwad to starting Kindergarten in July! She will be a cute little chatterbox making friends left and right ;)
{Dexter, Sarah and Lexi...Austin is missing}
I've been busy busy busy getting ready for a few boutiques this summer. First I will be at the EG Park Farmers Market on Wed night May 12th 4-7pm and at the Spring Festival on Saturday May 22nd 10-6pm. Then again at the farmers market on Wed's: June 2nd, July 7th & maybe August 4th. This is strictly just a hobby of mine where I really just make enough to keep the business alive...I have had fun learning a little bit about having a little business ;)
Mother's Day
Mother's Day was fun this year. We started our weekend out on Friday by going on our super date. The babysitter come over at 3pm and Josh and I went and saw Iron Man 2 at the Imax and then ate at the Esquire Grill downtown Sacramento. Then it was off ot the Daughtry/ Lifehouse concert at Arco Arena. It was a lot of entertainment for me and baby's ears for one day ;)
Gifts...
Then Saturday we took the family out to El Torito cause Daddy 'got a call' and Sunday I got breakfast in bed and I enjoyed my gifts from the kids they made at school along with a sweet rose bouqet from Daddy. I love my little family and hope all the moms enjoyed their day and/or weekend.
This was Dalen's first time trying out in this production and he was cast as one of three Town Criers. He had about 6 lines throughout the production and was also a tree that turned into a Coachmen in the bippity boppity scene and was part of the chorus throughout the play. The practices consisted of a weekly practice and as the play got closer it sometimes went to twice a week, a few lasting four hours. I was assigned as one of the stage managers. My job was to make sure props were ready for the kids to take on and off the stage and help the cast with remembering when to go on and of course the ever important job of opening and closing the curtains {How'd I get stuck with that job ;)} along with making Dalen's costume. We performed 6 different shows {Thursday-Saturday} and by the end of the weekend Dalen and I were beat...Thankfully my mom was here to help with the kids. Dalen and I had a great experience meeting other kids and moms from other wards in our stake and can't wait for the next production this Fall.
A Narrator and a Silly Girl from the cast of Disney's Beauty and the Beast
The Steps were amazing... Such great little actresses...and I made their bows ;)
Since I was always back stage, these were the only two clips I was able to get...The first one is at a tech rehearsel and the second is at the end of one of the real shows...;)
We are parents to FiVe busy little children...We are very happy and alive living here in EG, CA...I am a stay at home mom and Josh supports us as a Nuclear Pharmacist...We hope you enjoy your look into our little ocean world...email me @ lmiles81@gmail.com
