My heart WAS in San Francisco

Josh and I went to beautiful San Fran this weekend...Friday: We dropped our kids off and headed out to the Bay...we enjoyed having a weekend to ourselves w/out kids climbin' and whinin'...Friday night: we had dinner at Josh's Uncle Duke and Aunt Jan's home in beautiful San Rafael...Visited with family for a bit...Saturday: went to the graveside funeral for his Grandpa who had just passed...(reason for our trip)...after a short and sweet service and lunch we took off for the rest of a Josh and Lauren Day...we decided to start with walking across the whole golden gate bridge...that was different...very windy and crazy...we then found a quiet spot to just hang out and chow down on coldstones before we went to end our day by pickin up the rugrats...Thank you Doug and Teresa for takin the nibs for the night...It was great!

Back 2 School (updated w/more pix)

Dalen endured his first week of 1st grade...He is very proud to be in the big kid part of the school...It was nice getting back into bedtimes and rules again...school shopping was a breeze...boys are so easy! 12 new shirts and two new pairs of shorts from Old Navy and http://www.crazy8.com/ ...All under $60 Good luck in 1st grade Dalen, we know you will shine!

Lexi had her first day of preschool! She was absolutly in her element...she loved all the attention from all the teachers and was immediatly best friends with all of them...I had a hard time leaving her but she did great...she is such a social butterfly...Most likely to be 'Little Miss Popular' by like Kindergarten...So cute...I love watching her learn n grow!

Very twisted...but hilarious...I wasted about 20 minutes of my life reading this too good to be true faiy tale of a life...My life is way better and my hubby is more awesome!

Back to Our Roots...

We recently had the chance to drive down to SV and visit with family for the week...While we were there the kids had the chance to play with their cousins, the V girls and Miss B...we also got to meet the newest addition to the ever growing Miles clan, little mr. Linkin...I love visiting the family...Our kids have the best grandparents ever...G&G Dubois rotated the kids over the weekend and spoiled them by taking them out to eat and bought them new toys and new clothes and G&G Miles took them along with the V girls to see the tide pools and out for lunch...Josh got to hang out with his bros and I got to visit with my parents in the evening after work...Steph, April and I went to the book release party of Breaking Dawn...Poor Ape couldn't make it til the end but was able to get dessert at least...She then had her baby two days later (as planned)...I was able to visit with my high school friend Sarah who has a little girl Lexi's age...The night before we left we went to dinner with Jared and Shannon, Jase and Steph and Jesse to Musashi...I love visiting with my sister in laws they truly feel like my sisters and I hope they feel the same way...Thanks for making me,Josh and our kids always feel so welcome when we visit...See you all in December...
