The Prepping....

This year we had the kids all do a little something to help prepare for the big meal...Deveon ripped all the leaves off the herbs....

Lexi made sure Grandma washed the Turkey inside and out....eeeewww the neck and the heart...

Dalen chopped the veggies for the stuffing, and made the green bean casserole....

Noah crawled around the floor keeping food off the floor...

We had Tami and Erick over and they brought yummy homemade rolls and a sweet potatoe pie...watch out pumpkin there's a new pie in town...

We had a great Holiday weekend with my parents visiting...My mom and I had plenty of time to shop, craft and just catch up on things...Of course we went and saw Twilight which was my fourth time (1-w/ Tami 2-w/Josh 3-w/ our babysitters 4-w/Mom and Tami)

....and the leftovers are GONE!

So my mom and I went shopping yesterday on black Friday...we didn't have anywhere in mind but we remembered that a store called H&M opened in the Roseville Galleria and so off we went with the two babes while Grandpa took the boys to the movies...LOVE this store! This is what we found:

I bought Lex this skirt for 12$ My mom bought her these shoes for 9$ and an asian inspired satin dress for 24$...Have to go back now and shop for myself when it's not so crazy crowded in the dress rm...

SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT ANNOUNCES TWILIGHT SEQUEL - NEW MOON
Los Angeles, CA November 22, 2008 — Summit Entertainment announced today that the studio is officially moving forward with the production of NEW MOON, the second installment of its filmed franchise TWILIGHT, the action-packed, modern day vampire love story. The movie will be based on the second novel in author Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series titled, New Moon. The first movie in the TWILIGHT franchise, the self-titled TWILIGHT, arrived in theaters this weekend to sold-out showings.

Stealing Babies?

So I just ordered this from a site called babysteals ...they post one item at 50% off every day until it sells out and then they post a new item...I had really wanted one of these jujube diaper bags but did w/out cause my patunia picklebottom was just fine...it was just a little on the girly side...but now Noah can have a stud black and silver bag to hold his dipes and wipes!

"It's Fun to Run" says JD

We get to the park at 6:30 am, turns out we didn't need to be there until 7:30...we decide to make the best of it and go down by the lake at the park where the starting point for the 1/2 marathon runners...here are some photos of the bros and the kids...

We are officially prepared for this season's Flu Season...We all went as a family to good ol' Kaiser and all got shots in our arms/thighs...If you are under 4, they give it to you in your cute little chunky thighs so up went Lexi's tights, perfect...Then Dalen's arm, perfect...he even giggled...then it was Deveon's turn...Screamed THEE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME...OMGosh! Josh had to pin him in the chair and he would not let the nurse touch his arm...He wanted it in his leg...so there it was...Noah's turn, perfect...

I am so grateful for this opportunity that our family had to join together with other families whose beliefs were parellel to ours on this important issue. It really strengthened our testimonies to see all who believed in this come together at such an important time. It gave our family another chance to discuss Heavenly Father's plan for us and our role here as a woman and a man, a mother and a father. At first I was a little apprehensive about discussing this issue to my 5 and 6 yr olds, but as time went on and the race became bigger and stronger, I felt it needed to be taught and discussed with them...See Dalen's thoughts...I am so glad to have been a huge part in this well organized yes on 8 campaign. I learned so much and I was able to use my talents and strengths for a good cause. I had the chance to donate money and time to this campaign, speak up to a group of volunteer moms at school when they were dogging our campaign commercials, make calls on behalf of the yes on 8 campaign, waive signs (in the rain) --(Mormon batallion?), AND drive around with my bumper sticker and lawn sign stuck proudly on my car, I felt scared with each new thing but then I would remember my promise to our Heavenly Father to take upon us His name. I am so grateful to have had the chance to do my part in protecting marriage.
