American Idol May 2012

Anyone know me knows I am a die hard fan of this show...and yes I own all Coldplay music too...

Awesome Day #1

Seeing Coldplay was pretty AWESOME!
Coldplay was performing on American Idol one night but they had to tape him with a live audience the morning of instead since he was due for the Weenie Roast in the Evening. I had signed up to get tickets for any American Idol taping and when I got this in my email I jumped on it! It wasn't an American Idol Episode but this was gonna be pretty darn cool I thought and it was! I brought my sis in law April, our friend Anna and her daughter Mckenna... He performed two songs for us, each of them twice ; 'Paradise' and 'Every Teardrop is a Waterfall' He was so crazy and he danced and was pretty chatty between takes...Very cool for a free little mini concert...And yes the crowd went wild when he changed his shirt for the next song/take hahahaha...Oh  and Mckenna was chosen to be in the 'Pit' with all the cute young girls screaming at the stage...She almost didn't wanna go but we moms made her {We were a little jealous} {ok a lot jealous} ;) She loved it...After the show we went and had lunch at The Cheescake Factory at The Grove in Hollywood.

See our cool little bracelets...They lit up in different ways during the songs...

Awesome Day #2

Scored more tickets from my friend Jen to go see the Finale show where these two {Jessica and Phillip} battled it out for the title of the next American Idol. This time since it was so last minute just us three SCV girls went and stood in line, got our tickets with seat numbers on it and then went and had lunch at The Yardhouse and then saw a movie 'Girl in Progress' while we waited to go into the Nokia theater...Our seats were pretty good. We were in the front row of the first balcony...not too bad...Phillip was my pick...They liked Jessica...They both were awesome! I knew he would win tho...;)

Awesome Day #3

Morning of the Finale results show I open up an email with Tickets to the show! I debate back and forth of whether or not I should go...Anna couldn't go, April couldn't but I really wanted to go...I decide to just go for it so I bring my little buddy Dalen. Totally unsure if we will even get in since the day before we got there around 10am and got balcony seats...Me and Dalen are gonna show up around 3:30pm. oh well I said, if we don't get in NBD. we'll go out to dinner just me and him... We get to the line and they are waiting for a number from the guys at the theater. The number is how many filler seats to hand out...We get two tickets...YES! hmmm wonder where we are sitting. I look at the tickets and it's floor seats!!!... We get to our seats and they are smack in the middle just a little left of their big camera stage setup about 30 rows back from the stage...It was awesome and best part was seeing Phillip Phillips win LIVE!

BLINK 182
October 2011
Love these guys...Josh and I went with a couple of Josh's bros, Jared and Jesse.
Blink hadn't come out with anything in like 10 yesars or so and they just got back together as a band and came out with a new album so at the concert they played all their old stuff and a few new ones. It was super fun! Felt like High School! ;)

Me with Hubby at the Hollywood Bowl

The Nutcracker Ballet

Over Christmas Auntie Steph and Bree invited us to go with them to see the Nutcracker Ballet at the Fancy T.O. Civic Arts Center. The girls had a ball and it was great cause this year Lexi's ballet class will be dancing to one for the songs from this ballet! We wanted to make the day special so we took the girls out to Claim Jumpers for an early dinner where they both ordered their very own Mac n Cheese ;) I hope these two cuties will always be good friends...after all they do share the same birthday!

Waiting for the show to begin...

...and the girls both had to have a pink glittery nutcracker to remember the show ;)

Idols Live 09

Our Idols Live Experience 2009

***Remember to pause blog music to listen to clips***

First the Bottom 6 came out one by one and performed and we got to see why they were the bottom 6 ha...then they did a little finale with a song together...Then intermish...Onto Allison followed by Danny Gokey followed by The Sassy Mista Adam Lambert (ahhhh) then Cutie Pie Kris Allen...It was all HOT!

Allison was Awesome of course...totally shoulda beat Danny Gokey

*See here for my predicted outcome way back when*...she totally kicked-A on stage and she knew how to work it all while singing fast upbeat songs...Killer Rockgoddess!

The reason for the Purchase of these TIX...
ADaM LamBerT

and yes his jacket was way Bad...it had tails and everything...

He started out with "Whole Lotta Love" and I stand up along with lots of others and this old lady behind me starts tapping me on my shoulder asking me to sit down...ummm were at a concert??? if you want to sit then stay home...bahhh!

Then hit the song "Starlight" by Muse

Then a duet with Allison singing "Slowride" then slowed it down with "Mad World"

Then the hottest set from David Bowie...this is where he takes his jacket off to reveal his sparkly vest and dances for us all...Josh said it was very 'feminine' and he's probly right but it made me wanna dance which is Adam's true musical goal in life...I got a clip of "Fame" but it's all over the place due to the dancing going on...

And he finishes in True Rockstar Form

On to Cutie Kris...
"Heartless, Ain't No Sunshine and All These Things I’ve Done" (Killers) were the best...
He did guitar, piano and just plain Kris that reminded us all how he won our hearts over...
In True Heartthrob Form

KRADAM finishing off the night :)

Next Concert: David Cook...I love American Idol...:)sigh...

Lambertize:

Adam makes every song his own — the song has been Lambertized. {see full dictionary here}
Rolling Stones says this...
In true Robert Plant style, Lambert made his arrival known, punctuating his three-octave howl on “Whole Lotta Love” with pelvicthrusts and microphone straddling. Dressed to the rock-god nines in ripped and studded leather and denim, Lambert switched gears from hot to cool, soaring on Muse’s “Starlight”{I have this song on my blog} against a moody backdrop of twinkling lights. In an intimate and memorable moment, the gifted goth took a seat for the haunting “Mad World,” showing off his crystalline falsetto as smoke rose around him. After reprising “Slow Ride,” his energetic duet with “little sister” Iraheta, Lambert closed his set with a medley of David Bowie songs — including an ethereal “Life on Mars, Fame and Let's Dance” backed by a glowing graphic of the red planet — then sunk down into the stage, all too soon, to the loudest cheers of the night.
I am so Excited about Friday Night...bring on the Guyliner...

***I finally got my issue today!!!***
after hunting for it everytime I went to Target, WMart, grocery stores etc...(since I wasn't that crazy of a fan)...I was so sick of seeing Lady Gaga's issue though...
(A few weeks ago I posted...)
Is it bad that I plan on buying this issue....?

Just curious...

"I feel Wicked"

To kick off our summer plans we started out by going out to San Francisco for the weekend. We started our fun on Friday by ditching the kiddos with BF Tami and started our trek to Frisco...Our first stop was in Dublin for dinner at Black Angus: Steak and Lobster and Chocolate Cake with yummy hot fudge sauce...Then we hopped on the BART for the rest of our trek to Frisco...Our next stop was the Parc 55 Hotel which was right in the heart of downtown where the mall is and right down the street from the theatre...Our show, Wicked started at 8pm, and it was at the Orpheum Theatre Downtown

Parc 55 Hotel

Us before the show

Me in the Theatre taking a "facebook picture" ha...

The staging and the fabulous cast...our seats were in the Orchestra Pit...

Saturday Morning we decided to take a long walk/jog up hills and down hills from our hotel to Crissy Park, then over to Fisherman's Wharf for some sidewalk fish, chips and clam chowder in a bowl...appx: 9 miles...then took the trolley back to the hotel and headed home with good memories and a little sunburn from Mr Sunshine...

On our route to Fisherman's Wharf we saw this guy getting out of his scary van and walked the same route with us all the way to his place of business (on the streets at Fisherman's Wharf)...

The beautiful sounds of ocean air....

Music Crush

***new stuff***

Click here for the best interview of Adam and Kris...these guys are great, so funny...the best is at minute 1:20ish (the ? about the top bunk and hear what adam is most excited about for the idols live tour, which by the way I am going to and now I am excited for this as well, Adam...)

*******************************

(*Skip to 1:10 for the song and skip over Adam's ramblings unless you want to hear him talk and remember to pause the music at the right before you listen too. Oh, and for the those computers that can take it click on the HQ for high quality)

My Musical Opinion

Kris won but this guy is Amazing! I seriously get chills when he sings and I am already a big fan...This guy will be HUGE! and yes the guyliner is really cool in my opinion...it's just make up and make up is used to inhance our beauty right? So go for it...I love how music can touch us in a way that goes straight to the soul...So when there are artists out there that are unbelievably talented like Adam and Kris who can connect through music and reach out to people with just words and notes it really needs to be recognized and appreciated.

**go ahead leave a comment and tell me what a dork I am...
